I fell in love with words before I could even read. Love the sound of them, the way they look on the page, the infinite number of ways you can put them together to form a single sentence a paragraph — or an entire story.

If you look up the word, “bookworm” in the dictionary, you may just find my picture next to it. I started devouring books by the dozen as soon as I learned how to read, and as soon as I could hold a pen, I was telling my own stories. I wrote all throughout elementary school, junior high, and high school, and after a brief detour into music in college and those first few years after entering the working world (though even then, I never did stray too far from words; I was more comfortable as a lyricist than I was as a singer and songwriter), I dove back into fiction writing again after trying my hand at fan fiction–and I haven’t stopped writing since.

I’m currently hard at work on FALLING STAR, book 2 of my YA dystopia trilogy. Book 1, THE POLARIS UPRISING, was released in October 2013.

When I’m not writing or reading, I do marketing for a tech company, cook and bake, run, run, run (and run some more), follow celebrity gossip, and volunteer and raise money for my favorite causes.
