"I wish I were heather"

It was graduation and Oikawa, Heather, y/n and Iwaziumi all stood together with the team.

Bitter sweet tears rolled down y/n's cheeks while she looked at the team with a smile "you guys will go so far" she said giving each of them a hug.

"we'll miss you too y/n" kindaichi said giving her a hug Im return. The team murmured agreements and looked towards there captain.

"beat shiratorizawa for us in the future alright even if ushijima isn't in it" he said smiling at his team an arm wrapped around Heather's waist.

Iwaziumi was smiling slightly "you guys will do great. Im sure we will try and make it to your games in the future so don't think tour getting rid of us so easily" he laughed

The team let out some chuckles. "Im really going to miss you guys" y/n said wiping her tears. "Gah look at me being a cry baby" she laughed

The team Kunimi smiled "come here" the whole team minus mad dog gave y/n a hug. "Come here Kyotani-kun" Y/n said giving him a hug. He froze his hands out to the side awkwardly and y/n smiled

"be nicer and try to work on your team work skills you'll go so far" she said pulling away. He looked away embarrassed and walked out of the gym.

Laughing slightly y/n turned back to the team "well I guess this is goodbye" everyone nodded in agreement and before they could leave Oikawa looked at Heather and keeled down in the middle of the gym.

Y/n looked at him in shock that wasn't a promise ring.....that was a real ring.

"I wish I were heather"

Heather covered her mouth and looked at Oikawa "what are you doing toru get up" she said and the team looked at Oikawa. 

Y/n felt her heart drop as she looked at oikawa propose to heather in the middle of the gym. "Heather I've loved you since the moment I saw you" Heather looked at oikawa

"this better not be a joke toru" she said and looked at Oikawa "this is not a joke. It would make me the happiest man alive if you became mine. Forever. So heather will you marry me?"

Heather nodded her head a few happy tears rolling down her cheeks as Oikawa slipped the ring on her finger and enveloped her in a hug.

The gym cheered and y/n felt numb looking at them as they looked at each other lovingly before Oikawa kissed her  and smiled

"Why would you ever kiss me?"

Y/n walked over to them "I'm so happy for you toru" she said looking at the happy couple in front of her

"Isn't this great y/n-chan!" He said grabbing heathers hand "yes it is " she said with a smile that was bound to break any second.

The team patted Oikawa's back in congratulations and chuckled.

Y/n was in the dressing room with the bride to be. Its been three months since Oikawa proposed to heather and this two wanted to get married as soon as possible.

Y/n felt happy for them but couldn't stop wishing she was the one in the dress about to walk down the isle with the first person she fell in love with.

"Im so nervous" heather muttered playing with her hands "you'll do fine....you two.are made for each other" y/n said placing a hand on the pacing brides Shoulder.

Her hair was cascading down her back in beautiful waves and her dress fit all her curves perfectly. She was ethereal.

"Im not even half as pretty"

She smiled up at y/n and took a deep breath. "Im ready" "good luck" y/n said walking in front of her.

Y/n was being placed as the maid of honor. It was something so bitter sweet. Y/n couldn't help but imagine she was walking down the isle to her first love.

She looked at him and smiled slightly before releasing. I'm not the one he's waiting to see....its her.

Walking over to the side she watched at his eyes lit up when he saw his soon to be wife they took each others hands and y/n felt numb.

This wasn't a knew feeling she felt it that night

"you gave her your sweater its just polyester"

But as she watched them leave on there honeymoon

"but you like her better"

At the end of that day. I wasnt the one he wanted. He never even felt the same way.

I should've let go a long time ago. But you know that saying the heart wants what it wants.

Well...I guess.my heart didn't get what it wants. During that time I felt like I was suffocating.

I feel...jealous. I couldn't help but think if I gave him that blanket would he love me?

Y/n thought getting in her car. Setting her purse in The passenger seat she let out a sigh and drove towards her house.

The sky started releasing little droplets of water much similar to y/n's eyes. Tears streamed down her face as she drove along the road.

Suddenly the car flipped and y/n jostled around in the car her body being thrown around like a rag doll dispite the seat belt.

The car came to a stop and y/n felt weak. She let out a small smile hearing the fading voices in the background.

I had...a good life..dispite the pain. It was good. At least I know he's happy with her....maybe this.was for the best. If I die.

Y/n thought as tears streamed down her face as her breaths became shallow.
