day 2

"i'm still upset that i didn't see him" emma says when we enter into the gas station

"maybe he'll come tonight?" i smile, my heart fluttering hoping that i'll see him again

i couldn't stop thinking about him, he's so beautiful, his smile, his pretty eyes. he's perfect

"i hope so" emma crosses her arms when i take a lemon chip from the aisle, "what about you?" she ask

"what about me?" i look around the aisle to find some more food

"jack" she replies

"joey" i correct her and she nods, "yea him" she giggles

"i don't know, maybe i'll see him tonight maybe not" i bite my bottom lip to stop me from the smile forming on my face

"he was cute" she says

"i know" i agree with her, we walk to the register and i pay for my snacks

i get in my car and start driving to the fair, my heart racing hoping that i'll see him again

emma talks about this other cute guy she saw at the fair yesterday, she's hoping that she'll see him and she says that he's asked her out on a date which i highly doubt but whatever makes her happy

when i park the car i walk to the fair and my dad gives us our wristbands again, my mom calls me to bring her the snacks i got for her

she's sitting down at a booth, "lemon chips?" she crosses her arms and i hand her them

"yes! thank you" she rips it open and shoves it in her mouth, "i haven't ate anything today, your father told me to come early so i had nothing to eat! and they won't give me food for free" my mom rolls her eyes

emma and i laugh, "well do i have anything to do today?" i ask

"nope not that i think of, you're free to go" my mom sits back down, emma and i leave to go on some rides, i look around the fair hoping that i'll find him but there was no luck

after 2 hours of going on every ride and hearing my friends talk gossip i give up on looking for him

the fair closes in an hour and i assume he won't show up, i look at my friend sienna and she's on facetime with her boyfriend

"can we go on the ferris wheel? we haven't gone" alice ask, she's been dragged to come with us cause her mom wanted to talk to my mom

"let's go" emma says and we all make our way to the ferris wheel. my eyes are glued to my phone pretending like i'm busy

i watch everyone's snapchat story, everyone is here except him, i wish i knew what school he goes to or where he lives, i should've asked for his number or instagram.

we wait in the ferris wheel line, there is 2 groups of people in front of us, my mom starts calling me

i put my phone to my ear, "yes mom?"
