" Madison!" Mom shouts from downstairs .
I groan and rub my eyes . That was a great nap . But then reality knocks me in the head again.

I look at the clock on the wall and it's 4:56 pm.

I walk downstairs slowly. Joey is sitting on the couch talking on the phone with someone. I'm not sure.

" yes ?" I answer my mom.

" I see you're already packed " she points to my suitcases .
I nod.
" but for which choice ?" She adds.

" New York !" I say.

She smiles and grabs my hand pulling me into a hug.

" good"

" the Uber will be here soon, say your goodbyes" she adds.

I turn around to Sophia and she's standing there looking at me.

" I'm glad you're doing what makes you happy" she smiles.

" yeah, you know I'm gonna miss you so much, right ?" I ask.

" I'm gonna miss you too" we hug.

" text me and also come back and visit" she says.

I nod and walk over to Jen .

" thank you so much, Jen " I give her a hug.

" no problem, sweetie. If you ever need a break from home we got you. It's your second home" she hugs me back.

" Yeah , Thanks " I smile.

I look over at joey and he's on his phone still.

" Joey , you aren't gonna say goodbye?" Jen says .

" bye " he waves not looking away from his phone.

" in a polite way " she snaps.

He rolls his eyes and gets up from the couch .

He walks over and says , " bye , Madison " then he walks back over to the couch.

" happy?" He looks at jen.

Sophia pulls me to the side.

" don't get way deep into your feelings over this, he's just upset because you're leaving. But eventually he will realize he needs someone like you. He will text you are something. I promise, I know my brother " she says giving me another hug.

I hope I wanna say but instead I give her a light smile and nod. What if she knows about what we have - had.

Mom orders me food on the plane. I was so hungry so I got lasagna and orange juice with the cookies they give you on the plane. ( omg those are so good lmao) .

" get some sleep, we have a lot of packing to do before we leave " she says .

" Alright " I nod.

I put in my earphones and try to get some sleep.
